My work in Crewe and Nantwich
A Member of Parliament is elected to serve their constituents and to do their best for their constituency. I am proud of the work I have carried out representing Crewe and Nantwich and I very much want my work at Westminster to be relevant to what is going on in the constituency.
After meeting constituents and talking to people around Crewe and Nantwich, I have run several campaigns. These have involved action both locally and in Parliament.
One of the campaigns was about Crewe sport complex during which I have been heavily involved with a local community action group in resurrecting what had become a derelict sport arena. I have raised the issue in the House of Parliament and have also been bringing together the aspirations of the action group and officers from the Borough and County Council.

Together we have raised funding of £ 638.000 to invest in what is now a fantastic multi sport arena comprising of an international standard athletics track. The Crewe sport complex compares and surpasses most comparable facilities in the North West.
I have also tried to highlight some of the wonderful work which charities and voluntary groups have been doing in Crewe and Nantwich such as the Railway Children, and I try to meet some of those involved in such work as often as I can.
I am usually in Crewe and Nantwich at the weekends, on Fridays and Saturdays. As much as possible, I like to spend this time out and about visiting places of work, schools and all kinds of local groups. If you are involved with something and you would like my support then please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. |
